On behalf of the Little Somerford History Society and with the permission of St John the Baptist church’s warden, I engaged the services of Mr Kevin Steel of Red Drone to provide aerial photos of our village churchyard and cemetery.This is part of my project to map the locations of existing monuments and headstones in both locations as there is currently no record of such. He visited the locations ahead of time, prepared a risk assessment and advised me on the actions I would have to take before he could commence. On the day, he was very clear about what would happen and again clarified with me exactly what shots I required. He completed the task very efficiently and, I might say, very skilfully.
